Bela Bajaria, CHIEF CONTENT OFFICER

Bela Bajaria was named Chief Content Officer in 2023. Bela was named Head of Global TV in 2020, overseeing English language and local language scripted and unscripted series around the world. Previously, she oversaw local language originals, original series across Europe, the Middle East, Türkiye, Africa, India, Asia, and Latin America. In this role, she managed the teams behind shows such as La Casa de Papel (Spain), The Witcher (Poland), Sacred Games (India), Squid Game (Korea), Blood & Water (South Africa), and Sintonia (Brazil). Bela joined Netflix in 2016 to lead Netflix's push into unscripted programming including the critically acclaimed Queer Eye, Nailed It! and Tidying Up with Marie Kondo. She was previously President of Universal Television. Bajaria has been honored by THR’s Women in Entertainment list, Variety’s LA Women’s Impact Report, named one of TIME’s 100 Most Influential People of 2022, and named one of Fortune’s Most Powerful Women in 2020, 2021 and 2022. She currently serves on the LA Board of Governors for the Paley Center, the Board of LA’s Saban Community Clinic and the Board of Trustees for Meridian International Center.

Deborah Black, VICE PRESIDENT, ENGINEERING

Deborah Black is Vice President of Engineering at Netflix. Prior to Netflix, she served as Vice President, eCommerce Services at Amazon, where she was responsible for the software that enables Amazon’s global businesses. Deborah is a former Corporate Vice President at Microsoft where she held a variety of positions within the Windows Division. She began her career at Bell Northern Research, where she focused on distributed systems research. Deborah holds a BS and MSE in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Michigan and serves on the university’s Computer Science and Engineering School National Advisory Board.

Sergio Ezama, CHIEF TALENT OFFICER

Sergio Ezama was named Netflix Chief Talent Officer in September 2021. He was previously Global Chief Talent Officer at PepsiCo in addition to serving as Chief Human Resources Officer for global functions and groups. In this role, he led the company’s efforts across all talent-related areas in more than 200 countries. Sergio joined PepsiCo in 2001, serving in a variety of talent leadership roles at PepsiCo headquarters in the U.S., and across Europe, Sub-Saharan Africa and Latin America. Sergio holds a BS in Law and master’s in Juridical Practice, and Human Resources Management from University of Deusto. He also holds a master’s in Health and Safety Management from Instituto Europeo de Salud y Bienestar Social. He is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s General Management Program.

Maria Ferreras, Global Head of Partnerships

As Global Head of Partnerships, Maria Ferreras oversees all partnerships for Netflix. She previously served as Vice President, Business Development for Europe, Middle East and Africa. Prior to joining Netflix in 2017, she worked at Google for 10 years as Director of Partnerships for YouTube for Southern Europe and Emerging Markets. In this role, Maria was responsible for shaping and growing the YouTube partnership ecosystem in key markets and looking after the content strategy for direct partners. She has also served in a number of leadership and senior management roles for multinational companies such as Lycos, Orange and Telecom Italia. Maria holds a master's degree in Telecom Engineering and a postgraduate in Marketing. She has also served on the academic board of The Valley, an innovative digital business school.

Bryony Gagan, Vice President, Business & Legal Affairs

As Vice President, Business & Legal Affairs, Bryony Gagan oversees business & legal affairs related to Netflix’s content production, acquisition and distribution, including for all television, feature film, non-fiction, animation and local language programming produced in-house by Netflix’s studio domestically and internationally. Bryony is also responsible for Netflix’s global Labor Relations, Music Business & Legal Affairs and Intellectual Property groups. Before coming to Netflix in 2008, she was Senior Counsel at DivX, Inc., where she handled that company’s content licensing as well as technology licensing agreements with major consumer electronics manufacturers. Bryony was previously an associate at Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP in San Francisco and a clerk for the Honorable William W. Schwarzer of the Northern District of California. She is a graduate of Georgetown University and Stanford Law School.

Dean Garfield, Vice President, Public Policy

As Vice President of Public Policy, Dean Garfield works to build and strengthen global public policy expertise, and accelerate social impact. Prior to joining Netflix in 2019, he served as President and CEO of the Information Technology Industry Council (ITI), Executive Vice President and Chief Strategic Officer for the Motion Picture Association (MPA), and Vice President of Legal Affairs at the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). He was appointed by President Obama and then re-appointed by President Trump to the President’s Trade Advisory Council and was recently appointed to the Department of Transportation Advisory Committee on Automation. Dean received a joint degree from New York University School of Law and the Woodrow Wilson School of Public Administration and International Affairs at Princeton University. He was a Ford- Rockefeller as well as a Root-Tilden-Snow scholar.

Jeremi Gorman joined Netflix as President, Worldwide Advertising in 2022. Jeremi has spent her career in Digital Media, serving in business roles at Monster.com, Variety, Yahoo!, and was an early employee of Amazon Advertising, where she held a variety of leadership roles, including Global Ad Sales. Jeremi joined Netflix from Snap Inc., the parent company of Snapchat, where she served as Chief Business Officer from 2018-2022. Jeremi is a Southern California native, and proudly holds a Bachelor’s degree from UCLA and holds an MBA from Penn State. She is active in the advertising industry, serving on the boards of The Ad Council, The American Advertising Federation, and MMA Global. In addition, Jeremi is on the board of the non-profit, Women for Women International, which invests in women survivors of war and conflict, providing them with social and economic skills to transform their own lives. A lifelong sports fan, and advocate for women's athletics, Jeremi is a founding investor in the Los Angeles women's professional soccer team, Angel City FC.

Reed Hastings co-founded Netflix in 1997. In 1991, Reed founded Pure Software, which made tools for software developers. After a 1995 IPO, and several acquisitions, Pure was acquired by Rational Software in 1997. Reed is an active educational philanthropist and served on the California State Board of Education from 2000 to 2004. He is currently on the board of several educational organizations including KIPP and Pahara. Reed is also a board member of The City Fund. Reed received a BA from Bowdoin College in 1983, and an MSCS in Artificial Intelligence from Stanford University in 1988. David Hyman, Chief Legal Officer

Minyoung Kim, Vice President, Content (APAC ex-India)

Minyoung Kim oversees all local language film and scripted and unscripted series for Asia Pacific (excluding India), working with creators across the region. Min leads the teams responsible for hit APAC series and films including Squid Game from Korea, Girl From Nowhere from Thailand, and The Naked Director from Japan.

Previously, Kim led Netflix’s content expansion in Korea. Under her leadership, Netflix brought best-in-class Korean series to global audiences including Kingdom, Love Alarm, Extracurricular, The School Nurse Files, Crash landing on you, Itaewon Class and Sweet Home, and films like Time to Hunt, The Call and Space Sweepers. She joined Netflix in 2016 as one of the first content executives based in Asia. She has built and managed Netflix’s growing slate of Korean original series, in addition to helping lead the creation of our Korean office.

Prior to Netflix, she led Twitter’s Content Partnerships across APAC. She started her career at an independent TV production company, and built her expertise in international business while working at NBC Universal (France) and CJ E&M (Korea).

Spencer Neumann, Chief Financial Officer

Spencer Neumann was named CFO of Netflix in January of 2019. Previously, he served as Activision Blizzard’s CFO from May 2017. Prior to that, Spencer held a number of positions of increasing responsibility at The Walt Disney Company, most recently serving as the CFO and executive vice president of Global Guest Experience of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, from 2012 to 2017. From 2005 to 2012, Spencer worked at the private equity firms of Providence Equity Partners and Summit Partners. Greg Peters, CO-CEO

Greg Peters is co-CEO of Netflix. Previously Greg served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Product Officer. Francisco Ramos, Vice President, Latin American Content

As Vice President of Latin American Content, Francisco Ramos is responsible for all original series, films and licensed content for the Latin American region. He was promoted to Vice President in 2019, two years after joining Netflix. Francisco started his career in Spain, working for Grupo Zeta, a media corporation, and at Antena 3 Television, where he was head of acquisitions and programming. He then moved to Aurum Producciones, the Spanish distributor for New Line, Morgan Creek, Spyglass, and Miramax films, amongst others. He left to become an independent producer, and went on to produce projects for Grupo Zeta’s audiovisual arm. A Mexico native, Francisco received his law degree from National Autonomous University of Mexico.

Mike Verdu, VICE PRESIDENT, GAMES

In his current role, Mike is focused on bringing great games to Netflix members since Netflix started providing games as part of members’ subscriptions in Nov 2021. That means working with internal studios and external developers to create and deliver games in a variety of genres that can be enjoyed by Netflix members around the world.

Most recently, Mike served as Vice President of Content for Facebook Reality Labs (now Meta), overseeing Oculus Studios as well as the teams bringing second and third party AR/VR games and apps to Oculus VR headsets including Oculus Quest and Quest II. Prior to Facebook, Mike worked at large and small companies, in roles ranging from game production to running studio organizations to overseeing large businesses. Mike ran most of EA's mobile gaming studios as SVP, EA Mobile, and was President of Studios at Kabam after joining that company through the acquisition of his mobile game start-up TapZen. He was also Chief Creative Officer and Co-President of Games for Zynga, after leading EA's Los Angeles Studio working on RTS and FPS games.

Spencer Wang, VICE PRESIDENT, FINANCE/IR/CORPORATE DEVELOPMENT

Spencer heads up several teams in the Finance department including Corporate Strategy, Planning & Analysis, Investor Relations & Research, and Corporate Development/M&A. Rachel Whetstone was named CCO of Netflix in August 2018. She has spent the last 20 years working on communications and policy issues for US technology companies. She joined Google in 2005 and served as Senior Vice President of Communications & Public Policy from 2011 to 2015. She held the same position at Uber from 2015 to 2017, before joining Facebook as a Vice President of Communications. Rachel is a graduate of Bristol University and spent the first half of her career working in UK politics as a policy advisor, including at the Interior Ministry. Richard Barton

As Chief Executive Officer of Zillow Group, Rich leads the company’s work to transform how people buy, sell, rent and finance homes. Rich co-founded Zillow in 2005 and served as CEO until 2010, when he became the company’s executive chairman. He returned as CEO in early 2019.

Before Zillow, Rich founded Expedia within Microsoft in 1994 and successfully spun the company out as a public company in 1999. He served as president, CEO and board director of Expedia from 1999 until 2003. He also co-founded and served as non-executive chairman of Glassdoor from 2007 to 2018.

Mathias studied German literature, theater, and musicology in Frankfurt and Boston. He started his career as a journalist in 1982. Under his leadership, Axel Springer introduced paid content models and diversified revenue streams through strategic investments. Ann Mather has served as a member of our board of directors since 2010. Ms. Mather has also been a member of the board of directors of: Bumble Inc., a location-based social application that facilitates communication between interested users, since 2020; Alphabet, Inc. since 2005, and serves as a chair of its audit committee; and Blend Labs, Inc., a cloud-based software platform company.

Ms. Mather has also been an independent trustee to the Dodge & Cox Funds board of trustees since 2011. Ms. Mather was previously a director of: Glu Mobile Inc., Shutterfly, Inc., AirBnB, Inc., Zappos.com, Inc., Ariat International, Inc., Arista Networks, Inc. and MGM Holdings, Inc.

From 1999 to 2004, Ms. Mather was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Pixar, a computer animation studio. Prior to her service at Pixar, Ms. Mather was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Village Roadshow Pictures, the film production division of Village Roadshow Limited. From 1993 to 1999, she held various executive positions at The Walt Disney Company, including Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration for its Buena Vista International Theatrical Division. Ms. Mather holds a Master of Arts from the University of Cambridge, and is an honorary fellow of Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge, and is an Honorary Fellow of Sidney Sussex College Cambridge.

Greg Peters

Greg Peters is co-CEO of Netflix. Previously Greg served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Product Officer. Earlier, Greg was International Development Officer for Netflix, responsible for the global partnerships with consumer electronics companies, Internet service providers and multi-channel video programming distributors that enable Netflix to deliver movies and TV shows across a full range of devices and platforms. Prior to joining Netflix in 2008, Greg was Senior Vice President of consumer electronics products for Macrovision Solutions Corp. (later renamed to Rovi Corporation) and previously held positions at digital entertainment software provider, Mediabolic Inc., Red Hat Network, the provider of Linux and Open Source technology, and online vendor Wine.com. Greg holds a B.S. degree in physics and astronomy from Yale University. Greg sits on the board of DoorDash, a technology company that connects consumers with their favorite local businesses.

Ambassador Susan Rice

Ambassador Rice has a long history of public service and is the only person to serve as both National Security Advisor and Domestic Policy Advisor to the President of the United States. Ambassador Rice also served as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations and a member of the President’s cabinet. She was also a Distinguished Visiting Research Fellow at American University’s School of International Service, Non-Resident Senior Fellow at the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, a New York Times bestselling author, and Contributing Opinion Writer for the New York Times.

Previously, Ambassador Rice held positions as US Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs and as a Special Assistant to President Clinton and was a Senior Fellow at the Brookings Institution. Ambassador Rice began her career as a management consultant.

She has served on numerous boards, including the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, The Bureau of National Affairs, The National Democratic Institute, and the US Fund for UNICEF.

Rice earned her master’s degree and doctorate in international relations from Oxford University, where she was a Rhodes Scholar, and her Bachelor’s degree with honors from Stanford University. A native of Washington, DC, Ambassador Rice is married and has two adult children.

Ted Sarandos

Ted Sarandos  is co-CEO of Netflix. Ted has significant executive management and leadership experience and is integral to developing corporate strategy. He has been responsible for all content operations since 2000, and led the company's transition into original content production that began in 2013 with the launch of the series House of Cards, Arrested Development and Orange Is the New Black, among numerous others. Ted is recognized in the industry as an innovator in film and television acquisition, distribution, and production, and was named one of Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People of 2013 and received the Producers Guild of America Milestone Award in 2019. He is a Henry Crown Fellow at the Aspen Institute and is Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, is a trustee of the American Film Institute, and on the board of Exploring the Arts and Spotify.

Brad Smith

Brad Smith has served as one of the Company's directors since March 2015. Mr. Smith joined Microsoft in 1993 and has served as Vice Chair and President since 2021. In this role at Microsoft, Smith plays a key role in representing the company externally and in leading the company's work on a number of critical issues including privacy, security, accessibility, environmental sustainability and digital inclusion, among others. He spent three years leading the company's legal and corporate affairs team in Europe and five years as deputy general counsel responsible for such teams outside the U.S. His area of expertise includes competition law, intellectual property, government surveillance and privacy. Mr. Smith holds a B.A. in international relations and economics from Princeton University and a J.D. from Columbia University School of Law. He also studied international law and economics at the Graduate Institute of International Studies in Geneva.

Anne Sweeney

Anne Sweeney has served as one of the Company's directors since March 2015. Ms. Sweeney’s entertainment experience spans more than three decades including senior roles at the Walt Disney Co., 21st Century Fox and Viacom. Until she stepped down in January, she oversaw Disney’s cable, broadcast and satellite properties around the world since 2004. Previously, she helped establish and served as Chairman and CEO of the FX Networks, part of the Fox Entertainment Group of 21st Century Fox. Earlier in her career, she spent more than 12 years at Viacom’s Nickelodeon network. Ms. Sweeney holds a B.A. from the College of New Rochelle and an Ed. M. from Harvard University.
