Dan Lin was named Chairman of Netflix Film in April 2024. Previously, he founded and was CEO of Rideback, the entertainment company known for producing tentpole live-action and animated titles for global audiences including the 'LEGO Movie,' Stephen King’s 'It' and 'Sherlock Holmes' franchises. Before that, Dan served as SVP of Production for Warner Bros. Pictures, where he oversaw films such as Martin Scorsese’s Oscar® winner 'The Departed.' He serves on the Board of Directors for Rideback Rise, Hawai’i International Film Festival and the Good Shepherd Center for Homeless Women and Children, and on the Board of the Producers Guild of America Foundation. In 2022, Dan received the Vance Van Petten Entrepreneurial Spirit Award from the PGA. He holds a B.S. in finance and marketing from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. from Harvard University.
